Mahendragiri Hill (4,925 ft) Odisha

Mahendragiri hill is the highest mountain peak (4,925 ft) of  Odisha, which is just 36km from palasa of Srikakulam dist.

Mahendragiri hills are part of Eastern Ghats recognized as a biodiversity hot spot due to numerous medicinal plants and other species that are found here.

It is associated with mythological stories of Ramayana, Mahabharata & Bhagavata's.

There are three Shiva temples on the top of the mountain called as Kunti temple, Yudhisthira temple and Bhima temple.

On good day trekkers spot elephants, spotted deer and leopards.

Best place for trekkers & photographers.

Note   : You can also find caves, waterfalls, historical places with beautiful mountain ranges on this hill which are not covered in this video. Carry plenty of water and always be alert from wild animals.

Transport                           : Personal vehicle is best option. From base to hill top it is 4km long. only experienced trekkers can trek this mountain. High pick-up Jeeps & Bikes with skilled drivers are the only option for general visitors. Don't even think by going on normal bikes,cars & suv's.
